iPad Air med M3-chip blev lanceret i foråret 2024 og er Apples mellemklasse-tablet. Den fylder gabet mellem den budgetvenlige standard iPad og den dyre iPad Pro. Her er de vigtigste specs.

M3-chippen er den samme der sidder i MacBook Air og MacBook Pro 13-tommer. I praksis betyder det at iPad Air klarer alt fra multitasking med mange faner til videoredigering i LumaFusion uden at blinke. Den understøtter også Apple Intelligence, som giver AI-funktioner direkte på enheden.
Det der mangler sammenlignet med iPad Pro er ProMotion (120Hz skærmgenopfriskningshastighed), OLED-panelet, Face ID og Thunderbolt-porten. For de fleste brugere er det features man kan leve uden.
M3-chippen er også bemærkelsesværdig effektiv på batterifronten. Apple lover op til 10 timers brug, og i praksis holder det for de fleste. Du kan arbejde en hel dag med noter, browsing og let videoredigering uden at lede efter en oplader. Sammenlignet med ældre iPad-modeller er forskellen tydelig. Chippen trækker simpelthen mindre strøm under normale opgaver, mens den stadig leverer hurtig ydeevne når du har brug for det.
Kameraopgraderingen er også værd at nævne. Det nye 12MP ultravidvinkel-frontkamera sidder nu i landskabsposition, så du er centreret i billedet under videomøder og FaceTime-opkald. Det lyder som en lille ting, men det gør en mærkbar forskel i hverdagen. Især hvis du bruger din iPad til Teams- eller Zoom-møder med Magic Keyboard foran dig.
Er iPad Air det rigtige valg for dig?
iPad Air rammer et sweet spot der passer overraskende mange brugere. Den har nok kraft til at håndtere alt fra daglige opgaver til semiprofessionelt kreativt arbejde, uden den prislap der følger med iPad Pro.
Til studerende er Air nærmest det perfekte valg. Apple Pencil Pro gør den til en digital notesbog der overgår papir i fleksibilitet. Med Magic Keyboard skriver du opgaver, og M3-chippen trækker tunge apps som Procreate og iMovie. Mange universitetsstuderende bruger udelukkende iPad Air i stedet for en bærbar computer.
Til kreative hobbyer fungerer Air glimrende. Digital tegning i Procreate, billedredigering i Lightroom, musikproduktion i GarageBand. Skærmen er skarp og farvepræcis nok til de fleste formål. Den mangler OLED og 120Hz, men det er mest noget man bemærker i direkte sammenligning med Pro.
Til kontorarbejde klarer Air alt hvad du kaster efter den. E-mail, regneark, præsentationer, videomøder. Stage Manager giver desktoplignende multitasking med flere vinduer. Og batteriet holder en hel arbejdsdag.
Til studerende er iPad Air et oplagt valg som daglig studiecomputer. Du tager noter i hånden med Apple Pencil Pro, skriver opgaver med Magic Keyboard og kører alle de apps du har brug for. M3-chippen klarer tunge opgaver som videoredigering i iMovie uden problemer. Mange studerende dropper den bærbare helt til fordel for en Air. Alt i alt er iPad Air den bedste allround-tablet Apple laver til prisen. Den dækker 90% af det iPad Pro kan, til en markant lavere pris. Og med 2026-priserne ser vi jævnligt gode tilbud der gør Air endnu mere attraktiv som hverdagstablet.
Hvornår er Air ikke nok? Hvis du redigerer 4K ProRes-video dagligt, laver professionel illustration hvor 120Hz Apple Pencil-respons gør en forskel, eller tilslutter ekstern skærm via Thunderbolt til en dual-monitor opsætning. Så kig på iPad Pro tilbud i stedet.
Og hvis du bare skal have en tablet til streaming, browsing og sociale medier? Så er Air overkill. Den standard iPad klarer alt det til en lavere pris. Men vil du have noget der holder i mange år og kan vokse med dine behov, er Air den sikre investering.

Hvor køber du iPad Air billigst?
Elgiganten, Power og Bilka har typisk de skarpeste priser på iPad Air. Proshop følger tæt efter og har ofte lave fragtomkostninger. Der er ingen fast "billigste butik" fordi priserne justeres løbende, men vi ser generelt de laveste priser hos netop de fire.
Det bedste tidspunkt at købe er når Apple netop har lanceret en ny Air-model. Så falder den forrige generation med 500-1.000 kr. hos alle forhandlere inden for få uger. Black Friday og januarudsalg kan også give gode rabatter, men besparelserne er typisk mindre (200-500 kr.).
Et tip: Overvej om du kan nøjes med 128GB lagring og WiFi. Det er basismodellen, og den er naturligvis den billigste. Springer du op til 256GB og Cellular, lander du hurtigt 2.000-3.000 kr. højere. Og det er ikke sikkert du har brug for det ekstra.
